The university started in 1977 and the library began at the same time. Because the library has hourly workers and customer service stations, the library needed software to manage the staffing and ensure customer service points be staffed.
The library has long hours but not enough staff at 23 to cover the customer service points. Additionally to keep the library open, the library needs to ensure that there is enough people present in the library. It minimally needs 2-3 people present in the library. Additionally the front desk needs someone present at all times that the library is open and because of various reasons that can fall short. Further there was a need to communicate the schedule to all staff that the previous software was not able to do.

Our previous system was software that was downloaded into the computer and because of the cost only enough was bought for the schedulers. There was no way to communicate to the staff their schedule other than printing it out and placing it at a visible spot.
For my team the work scheduler has become an easy way to ensure their schedules are communicated to them. I have just started to use the time clock feature as I now have an hourly employee. The other team members are salaried. Yes, I would recommend Humanity to others and their team is very responsive.
