Business Overview

We are a town recreation department that has been going on for a couple of decades. I have personally been working for the department for almost 15 years now. We provide recreational activities (after school sports programs, crafts programs, summer camps, pools, trips, etc.) for the community of Walpole, Massachusetts.

Scheduling Overview

When I started the department we only had 2 full-time employees with a few part-time employees. We now have 4 full-time employees with over 30 active part-time employees on the payroll as well as multiple vendors that we deal with.

Previous Scheduling Method

We basically just kept a small spreadsheet through Microsoft Excel that had to be updated, and re-sent to everyone via email every time there was a change. Sometimes we just taped it to the office door as well!

Since Humanity

We no longer have scheduling challenges since switching over to the work scheduler Humanity. Not to sound corny or anything, but it has really been a beneficial piece for us in maintaining the schedules of our ever-growing staff.

The work scheduler has absolutely changed our operation. It is a complete 180 from what it used to be. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. The very few times that we had questions or issues, things were solved almost instantaneously and in an extremely smooth manner. Excellent customer service.

Huge timesaver as far as scheduling goes for our managers. Employees benefit as well as their was a major gap that was bridged as far as communication goes. Love your website. Totally changed the way that we schedule our employees.

I think the biggest piece that we use is the messaging feature. Constantly sending out messages through your system, as it kind of creates a hub and centralized location for all scheduling and program-related messaging. Rather than constantly referring to email or wondering where exactly the message was sent through. Now if we needed to refer to it, we just know that it was sent through your site.
