Milan Urukalo

Docker for local(host) development

When it comes to software development, the excuse “Works on my computer” has been used for a long time. With this lecture, with the help of Docker, I will try to root out this old custom that emerged from the time of the LAMP / XAMP / WAMP environment, and also took place during the virtual machines and Vagrant. We will find out what Docker containers are, and how they are created from the image. See how easy it is to build a local dev environment, simply change it, and test our application in different conditions.

Milan Urukalo is a software developer, focused on PHP, backend web services and devops tasks. For more than 10 years in PHP, he continues to learn new things and with pleasure share the knowledge gained. Programming for him is not just writing code, but also a way of thinking.
