MBC Loudoun launched in January of 2007. It is the first community campus of McLean Bible Church, which has been around for 50 years. We started with 680 as the average adult attendance, and we now average closer to 800. Of those attending, I work with Weekend Host Teams, which hold pretty steady at around 150 volunteers.
We have 163 volunteers on Weekend Host Teams at McLean Bible Church’s Loudoun campus and about 800 adults attend here on a weekly basis. Scheduling volunteers is tricky since it’s largely ‘optional’! Scheduling around vacations, switches, sicknesses, job travel, etc., in optional roles can be challenging to do. Since volunteer leaders manage the volunteer team member schedules, it can get challenging quickly to keep up!

Our previous employee scheduling system was Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and e-mails back and forth.
We love the pictures to help build the teams and community! So far, it is easier to coordinate, track vacations, and trade shifts – which happens a lot! We found their team to be exceptionally helpful and we would recommend the work scheduler. The work scheduler builds the team and community to have a central hub and pictures so people can match names and faces better.

Also, I have our Volunteer Commitments and a brief Humanity training loaded in the documents section. I love that these can all be in a central location. We researched 20-30 different applications over 8 months to find something that would do what we wanted. Humanity was our top choice.
