Develops and authors marketing communications and product collateral including product informational guides, presentations, and website content. Helps plan and prepare for the launches of new features and releases. Develops sales assets that encourage a shortened learning curve for prospects. Takes part in the production and execution of online marketing campaigns. Communicates with users about testimonials and case studies.
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable presenting to groups of colleagues and customers.
– Ability to grasp technical details quickly and explain their meaning and value to non-technical users.
– Self-motivated with ability to prioritize tasks and work in a very fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
– Experience with startup companies and/or online marketing is a major plus.
– BS/BA degree preferred. Marketing related work experience required.

Mark has been working with startups as an investor, advisor and operator for over 15 years. In 1996, Mark joined Internet Capital Group as an unpaid intern to work alongside and invest in entrepreneurs building early stage technology companies. After spending a few years there, he joined VerticalNet as an early employee, where he helped take the company public and led its corporate development/partnerships team. After leaving VerticalNet, Mark returned to investing, first as an angel, and now as the founder and managing partner of MHS Capital.
