Hamline University Uses Humanity To Schedule Employees

Business Overview

Located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Hamline is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and offers courses and degree programs in Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

Scheduling Overview

Our office has 19 individuals who are currently using the work scheduler Humanity. We manage 18 other employees in a 24 hour, 365 day office environment is very challenging. Many of my employees are students, who have fluctuating schedules.

Previous Scheduling Method

Our old system was similar to Humanity, however, our system was generated on an Excel spreadsheet.

Since Humanity

It is really nice to have a list of individuals who have designated their availability to select from when creating the schedule or when changes need to be made.

The Humanity team has immediately addressed the questions and concerns that our department has requested information on.

Schedule writing has become a little less tedious but the employees are now subjected to a higher level of personal accountability in providing the updates to their availability.


The Message Wall is a great feature for us as it allows people to post information and requests in an area where all can see.
