We were born as an international company, with offices in San Francisco and Belgrade and team members from across the globe. With our team spread internationally and growing quickly, we’ve needed to find a way to maintain the culture we started with.
So, we’ve implemented a unique office travel policy where each month, someone from our team visits one of our other offices. Through that program, we recently had a few members of our team in Belgrade visit the San Francisco office.
Visiting San Francisco in July were Milan Manojlovic, Milena Veletic, and Stefan Aleksic. Milan is a senior web developer, Milena a graphic designer, while Stefan handles interactive design and animation duties at Humanity.
Outside of working closely with the San Francisco team on their daily tasks and getting to know everyone over a few beers after work, the trio also had enough spare time to do some sightseeing and experience the sights and sounds of San Francisco firsthand.
Along with a detailed tour from SF team member, Sam Betty, and a group scavenger, the guys had some time to do a couple activities on their own, including tasting exotic food, checking out local graffiti and street art, and going to the Fillmore Jazz Festival.
And we wouldn’t be a very good tech company if we weren’t passionate about all the emerging tech trends available for today’s travel-bound adventurer. We asked our team what apps they found absolutely essential during their trip and this is what they had to say:
“I wanted to buy some new headphones during my trip,” added Stefan. “Shopular helped me find the best deal on the headphones I wanted to buy without having to waste time walking around from store to store.”
With a team at the size we’re at and spread across the globe, maintaining these close ties and team bonding experiences wherever we can is critical to staying successful as we grow.
