Header-Product-Update-Shift-Creation-with-1-min-Increment

Many managers and schedule makers need to set staff shifts in 5-minute (or smaller) increments. In schools, for example, where shifts may last from 9:35 am to 10:20 am, it’s important to be flexible and allow for the shifts to start at random times. This helps avoid confusion for everyone: schedule makers, staff, and students.

Education is just one of many industries where you need to be able to set custom shift durations. You will find similar issues in healthcare, BMS, or enterprise where schedulers are faced with making custom shifts. But, there’s more to it. Being able to set shifts with a minute increment can also save you a great deal of money for the company.

Good news, we’ve got you covered!

Today we roll out our new feature: Shift creation with 1-min increment.

From now on, when creating or editing shift, you’ll be able to define the exact shift start and end time with 1-minute increment and so customize it according to your needs.

How can managers create a customized shift?

Let’s have a look at how you can quickly and simply create a customized shift for your staff.

First, go over to the employee for whom you want to create a shift within the ShiftPlanning module.

Then, click on the day when you want to create the shift. You can now enter a specific time at which you want the shift to start and end.
