Team Humanity is ecstatic to introduce the seniority based tracking and scheduling feature to our workforce management system! Many businesses have employees join and stay with the company over a period of time, gaining seniority as time passes. Managers use seniority to gauge those who are knowledgeable about the business as well as when an appropriate time is for individual promotions. Humanity’s seniority based tracking and scheduling feature allows each staff member to have a box to add ‘start date’ to. Humanity uses this ‘start date’ process to calculate an employee’s seniority.
Under the ‘Staff’ tab, each employee now has a new field titled ‘Start Date’, which is filled with the date the individual started to work with that company.
This new ‘Start Date’ feature is used as a sorting tool in ‘Vacation Requests’, ‘Shift Edits’, ‘Availability Report’, as well as the ‘Unavailability Report’, allowing managers to easily grant vacation requests and edit shifts by seniority.
