Creating staff schedules can be a tiring and cumbersome task, and Humanity aims to make this process as fast, easy and efficient as possible. Importing an offline schedule into Humanity is the easiest and fastest way to bring in employees, schedules and shift times, all at once. Our schedule importer is well integrated into our application and allows management staff to add shifts and schedules with the click of a button. As a result, managers will avoid spending their time manually generating schedules and creating shifts one at a time. Easily upload and import a .CSV or .XLS file to the Humanity application, and your schedule is ready to share!
To begin, go to the ‘Schedule’ tab and click on the ‘Action / Settings Gear Icon’, shown below. Click on ‘Schedule Import’ from the resulting drop down menu.
You will be brought to the window below, where you can import a schedule. You must follow the indicated format in order for the application to quickly parse out schedules, employees and shifts from your file. The upload format lacks the staff requirement and can be used to upload shifts as templates that can be staffed later or used for open shifts.
Once your file is formatted correctly, click on the ‘Browse’ button, shown below, to choose the desired file. Select your file, click ‘Open’ and finally, ‘Import File’.
When your file has been imported, you can review the shifts. Check the shifts you want to import into your scheduler,
The staff schedule will refresh and the new shifts will appear and now be available to share with your employees.
