Provide Explanations for Staff Vacation Approvals and Rejections

At Humanity, we are always striving to improve communication between managers and staff.

It’s important for us to make sure that you never lose that human touch within your company when using our application, which is why we have added this new feature to the fold.

Now when managers have to approve or reject a vacation request submitted by an employee, they can add an explanation to go along with it. This makes the communication process between you and your staff more transparent and allows you to explain to an employee why you have rejected or approved their request.

Here’s how it works.

As a manager, when you click on the Requests tab, you will be able to see whether you have any pending vacation or work shift requests.

After clicking on “Vacation Requests needing approval” you will see all your pending requests. You still have the option to simply reject or approve the request, but you can provide a reason as well, if you’d like, by click on the “Provide reason” button.

Type your reason in the box that appears and then select what you want to do with the request.

Once you have done that, the employee will receive an email in which he or she will be able to see not only the status of the request, but the provided reason as well.
