Starting today, all Humanity users are going to get a chance to check out Humanity and experience all of the great new changes we’ve introduced.
We’ve given the look and feel of the platform a fresh new makeover, taking all of your feedback into consideration and applying this knowledge to provide you with a modern, highly intuitive way to organize your staff and run your business more efficiently.
Nothing is gone. All of the great features you’ve come to expect from Humanity are still there, we’ve simply made it easier for you to use them.

In order to make your transition as effortless as possible, we are going to be providing you with detailed, easy-to-understand tutorials that run through all of the exciting changes that we’ve made to your scheduling experience.
Additionally, we would love to use the preview period to collect and respond to your feedback about Humanity so that we can continue making improvements to the way you schedule and manage your staff.
Here’s What’s New
Humanity is all about taking all of the industry-leading employee management and scheduling features that Humanity has and presenting them to our users in a way that is more intuitive and natural.
The goal is to make it easier and faster for you to schedule your employees so that you can have more time to focus on growing your business and keeping your customers happy.
These are some of the most immediate changes that you are going to see with the introduction of the Humanity platform.
A Streamlined User Interface
We’ve taken a close look at how you’ve been using our app and applied the insights we’ve gathered to build a user interface that gets out of your way and lets you schedule more efficiently.
We’ve modernized and streamlined the entire design of the application in hopes of making your scheduling experience a much simpler and more enjoyable one.
The interface is new, but still very familiar. Rest assured, transitioning between Humanity and ShiftPlanning will be a seamless process for both managers and employees.
Improved Mobile Application
We’ve upgraded our mobile application for better performance and stability. It’s a mobile world and we understand that more and more businesses want to have the ability to conveniently manage their staff from anywhere.
The Humanity mobile application is much faster and more reliable now and we plan on continuing to modernize it in order to give both managers and employees a better mobile experience.
The Humanity platform has been rebuilt both inside and out. You can see the new user interface clearly, but what you don’t see is the work we’ve been doing under the hood to improve the platform’s performance.
We’ve built the platform using the latest technology. By doing so, we have enabled our product team to significantly increase the speed at which they are going to be able to deliver powerful new features to you.
What’s Coming Soon
The new interface is just the beginning. We have plenty of new features and exciting changes coming your way in the not-so-distant future.
Here are some of the most imminent new additions to the platform that you can look forward to seeing and using very shortly.
Timeclock Tablet App
We are working on creating a tablet-based application that’s going to allow you to quickly and easily get your employees to clock in and out of shifts at one or multiple locations.
The application will allow you to create a Timeclock terminal, so you can be sure that all of your staff members are clocking in and out of shifts at the right location and right time.
One of the Humanity platform’s greatest goals is to become the only software solution you need for managing your staff. We are working on enabling all our users to seamlessly integrate any other business tools and software they are using with our platform.
We will soon be offering one-click integrations with other HR and payroll software, which will allow you to keep all your data in sync without having to manually move it between systems.
Humanity is not just about easier scheduling, it’s about smarter scheduling.
We are working on creating auto-scheduling features that will allow you to automatically forecast staffing needs and generate schedules aligned with the budget, sales, foot traffic and a variety of other business metrics that are important to your organization.
Enhanced Leave and Payroll Tools
We promised faster innovation and a bunch of new features coming soon and we mean it! Expect to see some great new additions being made to the options you have for organizing staff leave requests and taking your timesheets to payroll.
Through our new Leave module, you will soon be able to track personal time off accruals across multiple leave types. We’re also going to be giving you and your employees the ability to request a partial day and hourly leaves.
In terms of payroll advancements, we are going to be further refining the process and providing direct integrations with top payroll providers.

Here’s the launch plan:
August 1: Starting today, all Humanity users can upgrade to Humanity by clicking on the “Preview Our New Look” link located at the top right corner of the application. Actions you perform in either tool will be synced both ways.
August 15: Everyone gets upgraded to Humanity. Users still have the option to switch back to Humanity during this phase.
September 12: All Humanity users will be upgraded to Humanity.
