Today we’re going to talk about one of Humanity’s most popular features: Skills.
While it might not look incredibly powerful at first sight, it really is – mostly because of the fact that it’s incredibly versatile.
The way you use this feature is really up to you and it can find its purpose in just about any industry.
Today, we’re going to show you a fantastic way to use the Humanity Skills feature if you are a manager in the healthcare industry.
Keeping Tabs on Certifications
If you’re a manager in the healthcare industry, there’s a good chance that you are responsible for employees who need to be certified by various health organizations in order to work.
Nurses especially have lots of different certification types depending on their specializations.
Humanity can help you manage these certifications by using the Skills feature.
With this feature, you can do the following:
-List certifications for each employee
-Filter and assign shifts to employees according to certifications
-Make sure they don’t forget to renew their certifications
If you want to use the Skills feature for this purpose, go to the Staff module and then click on Manage Skills from the drop-down menu located next to the Add Employees button.
You can then start adding all of the certification types that your nurses and other employees need to possess.
You can assign the certifications to your staff members in two ways:
Go to the Staff module and click on Employee Assignment from the drop-down menu located next to the Add Employees button and check the certifications each staff member possesses.
Or go to an individual employee profile and scroll down to the Skill Assignments section.
This is also where you can add the expiration date for each certification by clicking the Add Expiration link next to each certification.
Adding Expiration Dates
Set the date on which the certification is set to expire and then let Humanity know when we should remind you and your employee so that they can get it renewed on time.
Making sure that all of your employees have up-to-date certification is something that’s very important in the healthcare industry.
The Humanity Skills feature gives you a perfect way to manage certifications and gives you and your employees ample time to renew certifications before they expire.
