The employee ping feature allows you to instantly send an employee a message via e-mail & SMS (if SMS texting is enabled for that user). This action allows you to contact your employees quickly, or alert them of something important. For example, you might need to send a quick reminder to an employee that they are running late for a shift. Humanity makes this staff communication fast and simple.
To ‘Ping’ an employee:
Go to the home ‘Dashboard’ tab and scroll down to the section ‘Who’s On Now’.
Alternatively, you can click on the ‘Staff’ tab, select an employee and click ‘Ping’ located under the Permissions link of an employee’s profile.
When you click on the ‘Ping’ button, you will see the following pop-up:
Here, you can type in your desired message, press ‘Send’ and your employee will receive your message. It is a great way to maintain good staff communication and ensure your company runs smoothly.
