Creating and sharing staff schedules is easy with Humanity’s web-based software solution. Our application is easy-to-use and allows management staff to quickly and efficiently create conflict-free schedules within the application. We give you the choice of either: a) drafting then publishing schedules or b) keeping schedules always visible to all staff members.
If you want to draft schedules and double check them before sharing them with your employees, you can turn on the draft and publish mode. Once you do this, you can create and edit your schedule in the application (all without your employees seeing) and then click the big, green ‘Publish’ button to share the schedule(s) with your staff. The ‘Publish’ button is located in the ‘Schedule’ tab on the top right hand side, underneath the ‘Dashboard’ tab title, shown below.
When you click the ‘Publish’ button, you will have the options to notify all employees, employees and managers or no employees or managers. Once you publish the schedule, it will be visible to all of your employees.
If you do not see the ‘Publish’ button, you need to turn the feature on. In order to do this, go to the ‘Admin’ tab, and click ‘Account Settings’ under the ‘Account’ subheading. Once you do so, you will be able to see the heading ‘Schedule Settings’ in the resulting window.
In the line, ‘Use the Draft/Publish schedule method’ (shown below), mark the associated checkbox.
Now, the draft and publish feature is turned on and you will be able to make as many edits and changes to your schedule(s) as you want before you share it with your employees.
