Humanity has a variety of different customization options which allows users to tweak their individual Humanity accounts to their specific needs. With the ability to have full control over your account and settings, managers avoid future confusion and productivity loss. One of the key features Humanity’s unique software offers, is the ability to turn on/off shift approvals.
Shift approvals allows managers to keep track of employee shifts and approve or decline shifts depending on managerial discretion. Managers can approve shifts after they have happened for accurate employee attendance and payroll data. If you want to confirm worked hours before they are accepted into the Humanity system, make sure you have the shift approval feature on. If you do not want to confirm worked hours and you would prefer the data to be automatically accepted into the system, then make sure you have the shift approval feature disabled.
The ability to turn this feature on/off is very simple. To get started, navigate to the ‘Admin’ tab located in the top right corner of the application. Under the ‘Account’ subheading on the left, click ‘Account Settings’.
In the resulting window, mark the checkbox associated with the line ‘Use the shift approval feature’, under the ‘Schedule Settings’ subheading. By selecting or deselecting this box you will be able to toggle on/off the shift approval feature.
