PLUTO

Pluto was discovered in 1930 and takes 246 years to go around the Sun. Though very small, its influence is completely disproportionate to its size. It brings total transformations. Drawing deep psychological issues up out of the unconsciousness it has a purging function. Its influence focuses on power and power misuse, or feelings of alienation.

Pluto-Aries

Should you express this influence in a personal way in your life, you will be a committed individualist, and extremely intolerant of anyone usurping your independence - especially in your place of work. On one level you will wish to combat mini-dictators who impose their own will on innocent people, on another you may be rather ruthless yourself. You are confronted with the consequences of alienating others because you seize the initiative, or carve out your own path through life. Probably inspired by the principles of Machiavelli, you are often locked in to competitive struggles in which the essence of the matter is to win.

1ST HOUSE INFLUENCE There will have been some trauma connected with your birth or early childhood which will have evoked in you a superhuman effort to survive. Your anxiety about being helpless in your environment paradoxically brings out in you an extremely dominating behavior which alienates others. This manifests as a manipulative tendency in which you try to maintain control over the people around you. Whilst this is a self-protective reflex in you, it does not give others much of a chance to unfold. Your view of the world has to be transformed from seeing it as life-threatening to seeing it as supportive. 2ND HOUSE INFLUENCE Your values can be transformed from extreme materialism to total asceticism from one moment to the next - especially in your late thirties. This transformation comes when you realize how empty material success is as a yardstick for self-worth. 3RD HOUSE INFLUENCE Both school and sibling relationships will have been traumatic for you. Indeed you may have a specific communication problem with a brother or sister, or have broken off contact, perhaps because of intense differences of opinion. You may have been exposed to a family member with fanatical views, which were imposed on you in some ways. Long discussions - and long silences - characterize many of your communication experiences.
